Desfado, Ana Moura’s 5th album of originals, represents a turning point in the singer’s career.

The fado singer invited Portuguese composers of the new generation such as Manel Cruz (Ornatos Violeta), Márcia, Pedro da Silva Martins (Deolinda), Miguel Araújo (Azeitonas), Luísa Sobral and António Zambujo and established Portuguese artists such as Aldina Duarte, Tozé Brito, Manuela de Freitas and Pedro Abrunhosa to compose for her.

To produce the album, Ana Moura turned to Larry Klein, multi award winning North American producer, whose curriculum includes working with Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock – who makes a guest appearance in Desfado - Madeleine Peyroux, Melody Gardot, and Tracy Chapman, among many others.

On stage, Ana Moura will be accompanied by Ângelo Freire (Portuguese guitar), Pedro Soares (acoustic guitar), André Moreira (acoustic bass), João Gomes (keyboard) and Mário Costa (drums and percussion).
