"Moura", the sixth album of Ana Moura, published in Portugal on November 27, 2015, was directly awarded the Golden Disc brand, and the international edition is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016. Like " Desfado ", this album brings, once again, great names of Portuguese music.

One of the names that Ana Moura sings, for the first time is Carlos Tê, who signs an entire theme, music and lyrics. The same with Samuel Úria, of whom the fadista had already confessed fan of its work and compositions at the time of the recording of "Desfado". Also starring in his voice is Jorge Cruz (Devil on the Cross), Edu Mundo or Sara Tavares that composes a theme that bears the lyrics of Kalaf (Buraka Som Sistema). There are also words from the writer José Eduardo Agualusa, whose music is composed by the Angolan musician Toty Sa'Med.

Ana Moura's new album also receives themes from musicians and authors with whom the fado singer has been working regularly since the "Desfado" edition and which appear here as a natural follow-up to this complicity. We talk about names like Márcia Santos, Miguel Araújo, Pedro da Silva Martins who joins here with brother Luis José Martins (Deolinda) and Pedro Abrunhosa who signs two songs on this album. There is also space for traditional fado, which Ana Moura makes a point of keeping in her repertoire. Manuela de Freitas writes under the Fado Cravo and Maria do Rosário Pedreira under the Fado Carlos da Maia (Sextilhas).

"Moura" was produced by Larry Klein, with whom Ana Moura had already worked on the previous album. Canadian, 4 Grammys winner, Larry Klein produced seminal records of true music legends such as Joni Mitchell and Herbie Hancock.

Ana Moura's new album was recorded by Ângelo Freire in Portuguese Guitar and Pedro Soares in Viola de Fado, Portuguese musicians who usually accompany the live artist. In the list we also find renowned international musicians, whose collaborations demonstrate their talent and versatility: Dan Lutz in the Bass, already recorded with Lizz Wright and Michael Bublé; Dean Parks on Guitars, participated in the studio recordings of artists such as Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Diana Ross; Pete Korpela on Percussion, has worked with Robbie Williams and Melody Gardot; Pete Kuzma on Keyboards, collaborated with Jill Scott and Lizz Wright; and the legendary Vinnie Colaiuta on Drums, has for decades accompanied artists like Frank Zappa and Sting.

But the sounding names that participated in this album do not stop here: the mixes of the album were divided between Tim Palmer (who mixed albums of U2 or The Cure but especially the mythical album "Ten" of the Pearl Jam) and the daring Tchad Blake ( who signs the mixes of classic records like The Black Keys' 'El Camino', 'Arctic Monkeys'' AM 'and most recently' Songs of Innocence 'from U2).

Ana Moura's 6th studio album has the quality label of Henson Recording Studios (Hollywood, CA, USA) where they recorded artists like Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen or Justin Timberlake and The Village Studios (West Los Angeles, CA, USA) where they recorded Aerosmith, Tori Amos, The Beach Boys, John Lennon and Madonna.

"Moura" succeeds "Desfado" the best selling album in Portugal in recent years, a 5-platinum award. "Desfado" remains in the top sales in Portugal since the date it came out, for more than 150 consecutive weeks. "Desfado" was the first album of Ana Moura edited worldwide by Universal Music, through Decca, reached 1st place several times in Portugal, having also reached the 1st place of World Music charts in England, Spain and the United States United.

With over 300,000 albums sold, more than 1 dozen awards, including 2 Golden Globes, 2 Amália awards, 1 nomination for the Songlines Music Awards in the category of Best Artist, participations with icons of the music Prince, The Rolling Stones, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil or Herbie Hancock, Ana Moura is the national artist with the most powerful career of today.
